Dr. Brahma Natarajan attended Duke University for both college and medical school. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco. She returned back to the area for Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where she was awarded the UNC GI award for Excellence in Clinical Gastroenterology. She is excited to stay in the Triangle as a physician at Wake Gastroenterology.
She practices general gastroenterology with particular interests in inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis), colon cancer screening, acid-related diseases, constipation, and pelvic floor dysfunction. Her practice philosophy focuses on shared decision making and taking an individualized approach to patient care, realizing that every person is unique. She values the longitudinal nature of the physician-patient relationship and aims to support and empower patients to make well-informeddecisions regarding their health.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves cooking, exploring local hikes with her dog, and traveling.
